Our childbirth education classes aim to help you and your support system feel more confident about the body's labor and birth process, understand common practices and interventions in different birth settings, and feel more connected to the possibility of a positive and meaningful birth experience.

Pregnancy wellness class covers nutrition, exercise, and relaxation for healthier pregnancy and birth. Learn how diet, exercise, and mindset impact birth. Reduce stress, boost energy, and joy. Ideal before 18 weeks, but helpful anytime.

In this class, we cover fetal positioning, encouraging optimal baby position, the role of chiropractic, massage, and doulas in birth, upcoming tests/procedures, and preparing your birth space. Ideal for 15-25 weeks but can be taken anytime in the last trimester.

In this class, we cover labor stages, when to call your midwife, labor progression, partner's support, best taken at 28-35 weeks.

While we aim for a beautiful homebirth, sometimes transfer is needed. We cover when transfer to a hospital may be necessary prenatally or during labor, addressing induction and pain management. Ideal for 28-35 weeks.

Join our class to learn about immediate postpartum care, including cord clamping, newborn procedures, breastfeeding, and recovery. Prepare for adding to your family and identify postpartum depression warning signs. Available after 30 weeks.

This class is designed for couples planning their second (or third or fourth…) out of hospital birth. This class will give you a chance to focus on this baby and this birth, discuss your fears, concerns and questions you may have. We will also cover Barefoot Birth’s transfer and postpartum procedures. This class will be offered quarterly.
Taking a birth class has many benefits including increased confidence in labor, higher likelihood of breastfeeding, improved communication, decreased need for analgesic medication in labor, and increased satisfaction with the birth experience.
