Barefoot Integrative Women’s Clinic
Our integrative women’s health clinic is set in a relaxed home-like setting, nurturing feelings of relaxation and comfort. Our clinic is overseen by a certified nurse midwife (CNM) offering the best possible evidence-based care to all women, trans and non-binary patients from puberty through the entire life cycle. Our clinic provides patient-centered and trauma-informed care, allowing the patient to choose and direct care based on their needs.
We take our time with our patients, truly listening and explaining everything in great detail. Our goal is to find the root-cause of an issue before prescribing any medications. Often diet, lifestyle changes and natural treatments can empower patients to take their health back into their own hands, making medications unnecessary. When necessary, however, Johanna will carefully choose any appropriate medication in agreement with her patient.
Our goal is to provide all of our patients with the tools and knowledge to make truly informed choices, improving and maintaining optimal health, creating wellbeing and joy throughout life. By helping our patients reclaim their health, we hope to empower their families and entire communities to live their healthiest and happiest lives.
Holistic Perspective: Integrative care sees patients as part of a whole, considering their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being rather than focusing solely on the medical aspect.
Unhurried Appointments: Without the constraints of insurance limitations, integrative care providers have the flexibility to allocate ample time for appointments, ensuring thorough discussions, and unhurried examinations.
Root Cause Approach: Instead of merely treating symptoms, integrative care seeks to identify and address the underlying root causes of health issues, aiming for sustainable and comprehensive healing.
Long-term Well-being: The ultimate objective of integrative care is to restore and maintain overall health, well-being, and joy throughout the entirety of a patient's life, emphasizing proactive measures alongside reactive treatments.
